Portable Winamp For Linux OS / Ubuntu / LinuxMint / Fedora etc| No need of installation!

Winamp the MP3/ Media Player made for Windows which simply changed the way we process music on our Computer, unfortunately as Winamp is not available for Linux OS, and the Media Players available on Linux do not inspire me the same eagerness and simplicity of use which Winamp did, so i tried to port Winamp to Linux using our AppImage format and yo! i succeeded that too in a Portable Version with a filesize of Meagre 20MB!

What Is Winamp Media player:

The developers Nullsoft Inc have made Winamp in the year of 1997 as alternative of default Windows media player. Windows media player lacks in many features, consumers have been forced in to using WMP, that is when Winamp came in to rescue and saved with their highly quality music application see it here.

  • Download the app from the above link.
  • Simply chmod the .run file a+x
  • Execute with ./ in terminal
  • Or right click on the .run file
  • Navigate to properties
  • Checkmark Allow Program to be run as Executable
